Early Life
Mahendra Singh Dhoni was born in Ranchi, Jharkhand, in 1981. He was a goalkeeper in the school’s Football team. But he was very good at wicket-keeping and hitting the ball hard, so he chose cricket instead. He worked hard in local cricket in Ranchi and then played for Bihar (later Jharkhand) in the Ranji Trophy.
